The mobile experience has changed drastically in the past couple of years. Browsing  has become faster with 4G and LTE speeds, and apps are plentiful.  This makes the mobile device more exciting to use.  Most of the time there is an app to download for your specific want.  If you can’t locate an app you will want to bookmark the web site.

1. Less restrictions- Apps are designed specifically for mobile devices, allowing users to complete tasks with out security pop-ups / errors.

2. Speed–  Key functions  are typically easy to locate  making it easier and faster to use.

3. Features–  Main features are in the fore front providing you a better experience compared to a web browser.

4. Offline usage– Many apps are available offline, allowing you to conserve your monthly data allowance.  Keep in mind downloading & updating apps will consume internet.

5. Optimized for Mobile Device – Apps are designed to work on your specific device, making it easier and faster to use.

6.Visually appealing– Apps typically have larger icons, with bright colors making it easier to navigate.

Internet Browsers

1. May be visually cluttered for mobile devices due to screen size and formatting of the actual web site.  Not all web sites are mobile compatible.

2. May use any search engine (Google, Safari, Firefox etc..).  Mobile devices have a default Internet browser, but this does not mean you can’t install your preferred Internet search engine.

3. Navigation on a mobile device may be difficult.  I say may be difficult due to the actual screen size of your mobile device.  Some web sites have a lot of information on one page, if this is the case it may be a challenge to actually select desired fields without zooming.  Keep in mind you may adjust the Internet font size within the Internet menu making your web browsing experience more appealing on the eyes.
