Cloud Printing allows you to connect to your printer through the Internet, thus allowing you to access it from anywhere in the world!  The first method is through Email formally knows as Email Printing.  This technique is assigned to your printer with an assigned email address.  No additional app needed!  Currently there are several companies offering this such as Kodak, HP and Xerox.

The second technique is via a Cloud, there are a few companies offering Cloud-ready printers. These printers connect via WiFi, thus your computer does not need to be powered on.

Google Cloud Print was introduced in December 2011 to allow users to share printers.  As of July 2013 Google updated the service to allow printing from any Windows application.  Easy printing is now a reality.  All one needs is a Google account, Cloud Print capable printer and a capable device.
